WHere is a simplified take on a drink found on our latest drinks list. This is a party-sized pre-mixed that's packed with tastes of a Christmas time, making it perfect for hosting a holiday party. Save the extra cordial to use in brunch beverages, desserts, or to mix more rounds of bikinis.
Bikini Recipe
Makes enough for 10 guests
Ingredients for the Clementine Syrup (produces 750ml)
300ml newly squeezed clementine juice
200ml newly squeezed lemon juice
500g granulated sugar
To make the Cocktail (produces 850ml, enough for 10)
400ml decent vodka
100ml dry gin
150ml peach liqueur
200ml citrus syrup (see above)
Whole cranberries, as a garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch
Method
For the Syrup: Place all the ingredients into a pot, bring to a light boil, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Then, remove from the stove and let it to cool entirely. Pour into a clean bottle, seal and store in the fridge, where it will keep for about four weeks.
To make Batch Mix: Pour the specified liquid ingredients in a large bottle, allow it to infuse for one hour, then pass it through preferably using muslin, making it fully clarified.
For serving: Pour 85ml of your cocktail base to a stirring glass packed with ice, gently stirring lightly for about 60 seconds until cold. Strain to a frosted cocktail glass or similar, garnish with the cranberries and complete it by giving it a quick spritz of the essential oil above the glass.
